If you'd like to do something really helpful for the Wiki, you could handle all the AFV articles. For maximum points, you could make them all look like the 2S5 article here with its gucci picture box etc. Up to you!! Proximo 08:47, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
I'll have a crack at it.
I'll have a go Proximo, but as I'm not 100% with the Wiki, you might find yourself having to do a bit of editing :D
A fine start young Ritchie. I've tweaked your entries in the main only to add the category.
If you just cut and paste one of the two below somewhere into your article if it's an AFV
[[Category:AFV]] or [[Category:Soviet Equipment]]
It will categorise the page so it's easily found. This uses the new AFV category.
As to why the original Merkava page wasn't working, heaven only knows. I tried a different picture and that seemed to help.
I also changed the secondary armament box to use the <br> instead of the |, which seems to just add line breaks and not extra columns. I'm not sure how those tables work really, so trial, error and the preview button are the way ahead :-) FluffyBun 10:30, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Righto, thanks Fluffy. I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it now. Thanks for the help. --RitchieRitch69 22:17, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Categories, More Yet
Good work so far geezers.
I've tweaked the categories above. If you wish to try other categories for other articles, there is a list at Special:Categories.
A couple of other things (and Pred as well) now you have the hang of writing articles:
There is some info at Help:Wikilinks you might find useful. The reason your bombs link wasn't working is that the link is actually bomb, but the pluralisation comes from the way the wiki handles these things. e.g. [[bomb]]s shows as bombs
Also, please try and make sure there is always at least one link out (which you are doing in almost every case) and a link in to the page somewhere. You need to find suitable pages where you can add links into your recent Antonov An-225 and F-117_Nighthawk articles.
Finally, there are already some articles out there that you are effectively replacing (F-15 and Eagle). It might be as well to edit the original article and bring it in line with the smart infobox style you're using, or at least make sure there are links in both directions.
Crack on chaps!

Top work fella! Proximo 09:29, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
I will staff it up the chain. I have no issues with your being a SysOp - better a volunteer than 10 pressed men! Proximo 13:37, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
--RitchieRitch69 13:38, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- All sorted - just standby for SysOp rights! Proximo 14:48, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
sorry dude, wasn't meaning to poach on your idea. After the last flurry of enthusiastic posting by newbies, I think I got into the habit of catting and fiddling with everything automatically! --Rabid Hams 15:08, 20 May 2008 (BST)
Ritchie - good to see you back on here? Where's ya bin? :) Proximo 15:14, 20 June 2008 (BST)
- No probs here: just slowly crawling through the Wanted Pages... :) Proximo 15:39, 20 June 2008 (BST)
Mate, I'll get onto it now. Proximo 16:25, 27 June 2008 (BST)
An Unhelpful Answer
It's to denote patrolled and unpatrolled edits. Don't worry about it: we don't bother with that crap here. Proximo 20:24, 30 June 2008 (BST)
Mate, WTF is going on with your User page? Proximo 09:55, 18 July 2008 (BST)
- Right, I've sorted it by deleting the original page and removing the inline box that was fcuking things up! Proximo 21:46, 19 July 2008 (BST)
horror and the the penny drops
Rich, who are the hewitts you put on the matthews family page? am confused. think it needs a link (external) to explain. --Rabid Hams 17:11, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
ahhh ... not a big horror fan. apologies for my ignorance of the scary movie genre --Rabid Hams 16:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
sorry ... I tried a re-write of this original slim post. probably made it worse! --Rabid Hams 15:03, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Not around much.
Well, due to the crunch, not much internet time. How are we all gettin' on on 'ere?
Hey dude. It is quiet. Few of the regulars about (in sandy places?) but we have a new crop of trainee arrsepedia editors beavering away. The expenses scandal was nice and Joanna Lumley and Bob Ainsworth. Some nice comments for us here and here. Take it easy --Rabid Hams 19:56, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
I see that the Wiki has slipped a long way in the last year or so. How dare you delete my page as 'babble' when it is clear that if you believe it to be so, you clearly have no idea what 'deep battle' is all about. Lait 13:45, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hey dude, probably right to dump deep battle. its a reasonable subject but what we had was mince and the author an arrogant cnut who threw all the toys out the pram when he was mocked (for good reason) for his biff article. here. --Rabid Hams 11:09, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Cheers mate, i like to think of myself as a bit of a geek when it comes to World War 2, so i'll hopefully be creating a lot of WWII related articles in the next few weeks. Might also expand into some of the more experimental interwar vehicles and weaponry - some of the French stuff is unusually interesting. And my information isn't from Call of Duty at all. ;)

Ritch, I see you have deleted the TCB page with 9000 words of shit, I agree that he is a thundercunt and cockwomble of the highest order, but to just delete the page, surely something could have been kept, if just to keep the New Labour years in perspective. I agree that the politics aspect of the Wiki is about 7 years out of date and needs a look at. :))
I understand why you did it to scrap all of the shit, but he is such a polarising specimen responsible for so much of the shit that we are trying to deal with in society today that i feel we must at least have a nod to his less than august reign as Dear Leader.
Perhaps tidy and then protect to stop the scribbling and vandals. If anyone has a valid point to add they can contact a sysop.
