Under Lloyd S. Fredendall (US corps commander) the American army got its first humping of WW2 in the 'European' theatre at Kesserine Pass. The extremely green and untested American troops, led in an extremely inept manner by Fredendall came off second best. They suffered heavy casualties and were pushed back over fifty miles from their original positions west of Faid Pass in what turned into a humiliating rout. Many lessons had to be learned after this shoeing.
Famed for its legendary brothels that are immortalised in an expression of incompetence ... Couldn't organize an orgy in a Tunisian brothel - free comdoms included.
