The Shetlands are an archipelago of islands between the Orkneys and the Faroes. They are a Scottish lieutenancy. In common with most other remote areas of Scotland and the Western Isles, the Shetlands are predominantly inhabited by interbred, sheep-rearing polydactyls. The only outside influences on the gene pool are oil workers and escapees from Henly-on-Thames looking to rearrange their chakras in the wild, forbidding wilderness. Not to be confused with South Shetland.
