Rank of Officer on first Commissioning.

During the first 6 months out of The Factory lucky ones get told what to do by their Troop SSgt. Smart ones pay attention.

Normally when first released onto a working unit, will demonstrate the exuberance and self-control of a Springer spaniel puppy till the Tp Staffy housebreaks and teaches to walk on a leash. After a suitable period of re-training is taught to do tasks for which he/she is paid wages for. When considered safe to be let off the lead, is promoted, replaced, and the circus starts again.

NOT to be confused with ex-ranker who is commissioned, understands from minute one what is required of him and will spend the rest of the time furtively working with Troop staffy on ways to supplement their wages.
