Glasgow Celtic

Glasgow Celtic, wearing green and white have come to represent Catholicism, supporting Republican causes and often displaying more allegiance to Ireland than Scotland or the UK.

In other words...

Second rate team of foreign soccer players who suffer the adulation of a bunch of bigoted Catholic low brows in Glasgow. More Protestants support Celtic than Catholics support Rangers, which may say more about teenage rebellion than socio-political or religious tendencies. Can be just as bigoted as Glasgow Rangers fans and as the saying goes 'it takes a lot more than two to riot'.

Currently the only team in Scotland worthy of the name thus making a Scottish league a bit of a laughing stock - as at December 2006 they are 16 points clear and are now playing people off the street in league games as they rest their foreign stars for European competition.
