The Commonwealth in a Minute
The shiny new politically correct Vision of the Commonwealth of Nations is "to help create and sustain a Commonwealth that is mutually respectful, resilient, peaceful and prosperous and that cherishes equality, diversity and shared values".
Partnered with the Common Purpose (Charitable Trust) network, The Commonwealth is dripping with SJW buzzwords and barely-disguised British Empire bashing PC. Essentially, the Commonwealth is a vehicle for chummy 'no-borders' activists, Liberal dignitaries and the white guilt Clooney Club.
Points to note:
- Historically, with the London Declaration in 1949, the British Empire was replaced with a "partnership of equal member countries sharing a set of principles and values".
- The "human symbol of this free association" is the Head of the Commonwealth, currently Queen Elizabeth II. Fifty three countries are members of the Commonwealth, sixteen of which recognise Queen Elizabeth as their monarch.
