The Cadet Forces Medal

Commemorative Cadet Forces Medal available to all those who served and are presently serving in the Cadet Forces, their next of kin or direct descendants.

Award is proud to pay tribute and to honour the memory of all of those who served in the Cadet Forces with the striking of the Commemorative Cadet Forces Medal to be worn with pride, not alongside campaign medals, gallantry decorations or in uniform by serving members but separately and distinctively.

The full-size medal is available to all those who served and are presently serving in the Cadet Forces, their next of kin or direct descendants.

The obverse of this very distinctive medal depicts a fouled anchor, the L98A1 Cadet GP Rifle and a three blade propeller symbolising all wings of the Cadet Forces such as the SCC, ACF, ATC and CCF with the year dates 1860-2010 marking the 150th anniversary.

On the reverse the mottoes of the Sea Cadet Corps - ‘READY AYE READY’, the Army Cadet Force – ‘TO INSPIRE TO ACHIEVE’, the Air Training Corps - ‘VENTURE ADVENTURE’ and the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps – ‘BE WORTHY’ are proudly encapsulated in a scroll surrounded by the words 150 YEARS OF CADET FORCES and year dates 1860-2010.
