The Ordanance QF 18 Pounder was the standard field gun of the British Army during World War I; famous for distributing shell shock and death to friend and foe alike.
Went on to form the basis for the equally as lethal, illustrious and sexy gun, the 25 Pounder. Some were still used in combat the Asian and French theatres during World War II.
