    OK folks,

Time for damn lies and statistics :wtf:

The National Statistics Office have just put out a calculator which allows you to find out what real inflation rate is applicable to you, taking into consideration your spending habits.

With the Armed Force likely to have yet another pay deal link directly to UK inflation rates, I thought it might be interesting to see what rate people find applies to them. It will also give people an interesting marker when the review comes out.

    Inflation Calculator

My own rate worked out at 4.1%, a little above the Government RPI figure of about 3.9%.

This figure needs to be taken in context. For all you livers in if you aren't paying for a mortgage the figure falls to 3.2%.
