Young soldiers BBC 3 documentary

New program about basic training, looking forward to see what it's all about as I'm starting catterick in october.

Obviously will be diluted, but still will be an insight to what to expect.

I hope it is better than Private (so called) russell sharp's rather poor attempt at smearing the Army.

It'll be on BBC iplayer now mate.

Was abit too wussy for me, why do they have to make it shight? Should of made it more like the 80s program PARAS.

One of those typical "Father starts crying at prospect of son dying, cameras cringe-worthingly roll on as he sobs"
No thanks
That made me laugh. I don't want him going off to war, but basically, it's alright if he just gets to see the world and shag fat birds....

I love the voice over guy basicly saying that they will all be in Afghan in 3 months time tap-dancing on IED's.

They were playing the weepy stuff a bit to much really. Might improve though, might even be as good as the Submarine doc on. They have spent three episodes talking about firing a Tomohawk but not actually fired one yet.

Didn't once see them doing a BFT, and only once doing a webbing run. Phys has been lowered it seems. Never showed any polishing either.

Mutter mutter moan.......

One of the Mums was a Milf mind.

i was in that platoon, proper shite tv, replaced an actual insight into training into to some ex hair dressers milf mum crying

Ditto re the mum. She knows who she is the cheeky minx.

As for the program I thought it was either a load of bollocks. Either that or training is all rather pleasant now. Nowhere near enough shouting and weak people getting gripped. I switched off when the sprog mentioned "Go to Afghan and shoot the Turbanator." What a ******* lizard he has made himself out to be. Up until that point I was even tolerating his ear ring but no, not now!

both of them with ear rings were cry baby mongs and DOAR'd the staff werent to happy when the cameras were around and we fucked up. they couldnt provide the remidial training they really wanted, something along the lines of " you c*nts just wait untill the cameras are gone"... how we laughed

It's not a documentary on Military Training until some overweight, asthmatic little fanny starts lagging back on a CFT and gets his kit ripped off him as he is propelled into the jack wagon at Mach 3.

I'll not be watching next weeks program.

They said that about the Paras series too... A friend who was in 2 para around that time reckoned they had an easier time of it because of the filming.
