Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I'm looking to get my green lid next year and I'm starting to prepare now. I've been told most of it is in your head, so are there any motivational tips anyone can recommend to keep you going?

  2. No tips but best of luck with your AGC selection attempt

  3. An ipod full of death metal music and a healthy diet of spinach and ephedrine.

It isnt mostly in your head mate so Id drop that approach sharpish, you need to get some miles in by next year, whilst its true some jammy b*stards are on 20 B and H a day and still scream round the tests it isnt the case for the majority. Get on the website follow the up to date programme and discipline your diet and routines.

Best motivation is another bod to train with, pack the car up at weekends, get out on the hills together ect. Try a local boxing club and a running club 2 nights a week, it will give you a good idea as to the output required in training.
