The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. A former Army captain shouted a phrase from the film Top Gun moments before a helicopter crash, an inquest has heard.
Three men who had been taking part in a training exercise were killed in the crash near Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, on 8 August 2007.
The inquest at Harrogate Magistrates Court heard how Captain Robert Earle shouted "Yeeha, Jester's dead" as the Puma aircraft flew low to the ground.
Mr Earle told the court he could not remember making the comment.
He said: "I believe I made that comment because there was a situation with young men doing something exciting."
Flt Lt David Sale, 28, from Norton on Teesside and Sgt Phillip Burfoot, 27, from Cardiff, were killed in the accident. Pte Sean Tait, 17, from Glasgow, died two days later in hospital.
Another man, Flt Lt Robert Hamilton, was left paraplegic as a result of the crash.
Mr Earle told the inquest that he did not feel out of his "comfort zone" during the exercise.
He said that he did not believe that the crew were flying dangerously, but said he had little recollection of the crash.
    The inquest continues.

Aside from the sad news of those who died or were injured in this accident, how is this news?

  3. It is a report of the inquest proceedings, taking place at present, that is in the news.
