Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Heard a roumer that you still get ''SOME'' christmas leave while serving a sentence in Colchester? Is this true? :?
  2. Don't know about now, but I would be very surprised. I spent Xmas 91 in sunny Colchester and I can assure you we were not allowed out, even to go carol-singing.
We did get Christmas dinner (including ONE can of lager) and I think we watched a movie, but that was it for the festivites IIRC. I've had worse.
  3. Probally depends on sentence, and the likely hood that you'll come back afterwards :)
  4. The Maypole pub just down the road has a nice Christmas menu so when your in the exercise yard if the winds in the right direction you might get a whiff. I might go on Christmas day if its open so if you can do a Fletch off of Porridge and escape for the day Ill buy you a pint.
