That is I'm afraid inevitable and although as I child in the late 60's and early 70's I met a fair few from both wars I really regret not meeting the wifes Grandfather who served as a Gunner in both wars starting as a Bdr on his dated Mons Star and ending with his WW2 defence medal. He served in both BEFs the second one as a Lt commanding a troop of 25 pounders and finished the war in Italy having commanded a battery firing in such battles as Monte Cassino!
Sir RIP

A time for rest now Mr. Stone - rest peacefully.

RIP Sir

The country has lost another of the many who's memories we can only imagine.

God Bless William Stone, our condolences go out with our thoughts and best wishes to the Family.

Hopefully he is now catching up with his muckers, just think of the tales he has for them.

Thanks for what you did Bill, time for a beer and a catch up with your mates now, RIP.
