WWI pardons for cowardice condemned

    Just read in the Times Paper (no Times link yet) that the descision to pardon the 304 Servicemen shot for cowardice has been ttacked by a 'leading' psychiatrist.
    Simon Wessely,proffesor of pychiatry at King College said that the Gov was mistaken to pardon the soldiers 90 years later.

    Peronally I think he should kerb his comments on what is a very sensitive & emotional subject & limit his 'expertise' on the here & now.

    When it comes down to it the 304 are pardoned - forgiven if You like - and have not had their verdicts changed to innocent.
