Fascinating photos. We sometimes forget that they had color photos in that era.
The photos marked "Life" would be from Life Magazine which was noted for the quality of their photo's. The color quality is great considering that the pictures are over 65 years old. I would guess the Life photo's were from Kodachrome slides and that the ones not marked Life probably were German photos from Agfachrme slides.
Great pics, I always like to see colour photos from that time.
They had some very nice ladies way back then as well, noticably quite underdressed....which is nice.

Great photos, there's far more colour photos out there than you might think. A great pity our own side wasn't as in to photography as the Germans.
I think we were.
It's just that they're mostly Air Recce, Aiming point and gun camera photos.
