    Wounded soldiers appeal started
An £8m appeal has been launched to improve facilities for the growing number of wounded UK service personnel.
A "non-political" charity, Help for Heroes, wants to build a gym and full-sized pool at Headley Court rehabilitation centre in Surrey.

It is the idea of cartoonist Bryn Parry who served in The Royal Green Jackets.

  2. Yes I have as my husband is involved in the fund raising, it's aim to build a much needed swimming pool at Headley Court, it has the full backing of the CGS MoD, ABF, SSAFA et al it has no political leanings and is not in competition with the other service charities depaite what certain ill-informed people might think.
Just for info my husband is ex-army, he was not a general and I am not a bored housewife 'Tigs 2' take note. 8)
