Working in the Falkland Islands?

This is the point where you look back through the thread to the pictures of Hong Kong beaches that I posted and ruminate on what you could have had :D
Photos are selective. If I could remember where I'd put them, I could post pictures of the roof of The Peak in 1996 - -5⁰C and half an inch of snow.

Done HK when it was still ours.

I remember the heat, the humidity, the insects, the smell, the crowds. Etc.

None of those are an issue here, except perhaps the insects. There's an earwig problem. Arrived with settlers they have no natural predators so can be a right nuisance if they get in your house.

Someone’s got a sense of humour, calling an FI insurance company Caribbean Insurance….

Well, they’re islands I suppose.

An evocative monument as it lists those who died of sickness and disease separately from those who died in battle.
The former list being far greater.

I'll bite. What is it and why do I have to pay almost 2 quid for it? A stale roll? I'll bet it doesn't even have weevils in it.

Butteries are a type of roll popular in the Aberdeen area of Scotland.
