Ajax Bay. Home to 22Fd Hospital whose 1FST and 2FST contained RADC members I later worked with.
The rectangular hole is where the infamous UXB crashed through into the hospital area.
It was the 28th May at 1930hrs when 2 Skyhawks made a raid on Ajax Bay. They dropped 4 bombs. The UXB above and 3 which exploded. Two outside, igniting ammunition stockpiles and one which hit this area, the other end of the shed from the field hospital. This was a galley area. 5 Marines died and 22 injured in this attack.
Due to the proximity of the various stores, the hospital was not marked with red crosses.

As previously mentioned at the time, we did do a UK supermarket order shortly after we arrived.
However by the time it arrived we were quite accustomed to the different shops and what to buy in each.
It really is a case of price comparison and selective purchases.
The Standing with Giants project has returned. The figures have been modernised to reflect the timings and personnel involved in Op Corporate. 255 military figures and the 3 civilians will be assembled.

Certainly is, looks set to be ran all day. Unusual to have so much rain during the day here - usually the rain is at night - though much needed and at least its not windy !

I'm inclined to agree regarding the lights. Still on up on the by-pass (sic).
We have no outside tap to facilitate such efforts and the reservoir on her water pistols is a little small. Don't think she hasn't tried!
