Ok, I'd like to learn stuff. Are there as many vacancies as there are people out of work? As far as I'm aware no, but I stand to be corrected. When all the benefit cuts come in next year and rules changed etc, I'm assuming there'll be even more people seeking , I'm assuming, not enough jobs. There's been talk here that people should work for benefits, although as I see it, if people are doing any sort of work, their benefits become a wage. I've wondered if there should be a range of government funded 'community service' jobs, that people would automatically enter, while seeking other work of their own choice. If for example there are x number of people unemployed, is there any way that x number of vacancies could reasonably funded? Or is it necessary to have manufacturing jobs in order to generate the wealth that could fund employment?
