Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Dont know who you are. Will probably never meet you. Just wanted to say those who were at Wootton Bassett today were a credit to your mate.
  2. The Wootton Bassett recognition to the newly-fallen makes me feel so,so proud to be British and to have (ever so humbly)-served. A time for quiet contemplation...
  3. It's about time the town was given Royal status, i.e Royal Wootton Bassett. :D
  4. The locals have requested that they dont want "Royal" status, they are just showing the respect that we all feel for those fallen comrades.

  5. I may be wrong but i heard that RAF Lyneham is closing 2012 and all future repatriation flights will go through Brize, It would be nice to have a permanent reminder of the respect shown at Wootten Basset especially when some sort of new route will be formed out of Brize.

    Thank you Wootten Basset
