Seaweed has been on Grandpa duty in Cambridge. Grandson who normally cycles to school has crocked his foot so Grandpa has to do the school run. So there I am about 1550 yesterday stood-to on the steps of the school when overhead, quite low, growls a B-17. A female parent, whom I don't know, is standing nearby. We exchange pleasantries re the Fortress.

Seaweed: "Imagine three hundred of those overhead -

"Particularly if you were German ..

    "Heh!"

    She: "My mother was Austrian."

    Target round!

  9. Na, back then they were called Schicklgrubers.
Schluchtenscheisser! (Ravine Sh#tters) (slightly derogatory German term for Austrians)
