With the Royal Navy in War and Peace - O’er the Dark Blue Sea - An enoyable biography of a 'lucky' sailor.

The First and Second World Wars must have been great times to have fought through; even better to have lived through: Brian Betham Schofield managed to do both and according to his biography seems to have been a lucky sailor having had two good wars.

Clearly a book to look out for. He most have been driving KGV when she was in the BPF in 1945. A chap I used sometimes to lunch with in the afterlife had been a mid on her bridge when she carried out the last big gun bombardment of Japan.
