Ouch. Salem witch trial.
Auntie won’t like that scathing statement from Camerons former advisor there.

Who gives a toss what a non entity Lib Dem thinks about anything.

I hope not - there are more important things to worry about, such as further reduction in new cases and pulling the economy out of the shitter before everyone is on the dole and we enter a prolonged depression.

I hear that Hertz went to the wall during the night - and they are a very big employer internationally.
Only the US non-franchised bit and a big part of that was levels of pre-existing debt that took the piss.

That said, the depression has already started. It's just that everyone's too busy on furlough to notice.

And too busy getting in a tizzy over whether a minor party apparatchik was or was not in or out of the rules a few weeks ago, when so many other people in public positions have been equally, if not more, cavalier with them without so much as a murmur.

Dominic Cummings' behaviour has been unconscionable and it looks like more 'evidence' is emerging of all sorts of trips around County Durham. I think the Press are right to pursue this rank hypocrisy and abuse of privilege. In each of our own lives we can cite examples where we would have dearly liked to travel for compelling personal reasons, but have adhered to the lockdown. As a SPAD he can be dismissed forthwith...and should be, as his continuance in Post further weakens Boris.

And the alleged hypocrisy of the paparazzi? That's not the story and they are not claiming to have done otherwise.
Don't believe every thing you read in the press, or see on BBC.

It would have been nice if, at the end of the journalists' questions, DC had politely asked the press pack a question. Does the press have any regrets, or would the press like to apologise for the false reports they have published regarding further trips north, and for the false stories that caused people to be targeting his house and his family.

Remind me; he was last seen in the Commons where, exactly...?
The HoC is stuffed to the rafters with backbenchers who have very little to do with real government.

The highly contentious issue surrounding DC and people like him is the frightening amount of influence they have in government without ever having been elected.

As for the berk tooting his horn outside, could an armed copper not have tapped on his window? Choose your own calibre.
In all seriousness, they have grounds to intervene - and dickheads filming it for Twitter be damned:-

Perhaps that's why it stopped after a while? - someone was given "some stern words of advice...?"

Fear not, their influence derives entirely from those who have been elected.
