Ms Ferrier 25 May 2020.
Ms Ferrier said: “Dominic Cummings’ actions have undermined the sacrifices that we have all been making in lockdown to protect each other from coronavirus. His position is untenable and he must be removed from his post now.
“The fact that Boris Johnson and senior Tories have backed Dominic Cummings, in the face of widespread and understandable public anger, demonstrates a total failure of leadership at a time of national crisis.
“The public health advice is crystal clear. For the safety of others, anyone with coronavirus symptoms must self-isolate, in line with government guidance. They should not leave the house for any reason.

A statement which has come right back to bite her on the bum ...

Margaret Ferrier has apologised after a resignation-worthy breach of Coronavirus laws.
On Saturday afternoon she had covid symptoms and got a test. Despite this she got on a train from Scotland to Westminster on the Monday. Later that day she received a positive Covid test. She then got a train back home to Scotland on the Tuesday morning…

Yes but DC is the antichrist. She only did that because DC got away with it.

And so, sadly, will countless other braindead fookwits.

It would have saved a lot of trouble for Boris had he just left during the hullabaloo surrounding his apparent breach of Covid regs.
Now Boris has two close advisors leaving almost together, they say things come in threes, what next for No.10?

Yeah sure, if that helps you sleep better, why not. Enjoy your time paying for the EU circus and the inevitable crash.
Dominic Cummings hasn't delivered a deal with the EU, has he? We are in the worst possible position.

Meanwhile his fingerprints will be all over the Integrated Review on Foreign, Defence and Security Policy...which will haunt us for decades.

WTF has Cummings Gggrrr got to do with deals? He's an adviser, he gives advice which ministers choose to accept or not. Ministers make deals.

That is a distinct possibility. Not so much done a deal as knowing it is all over.

He may well be the 2020 equivalent of the fat lady singing.

Have you been sleeping under a stone for the last year? Dominic Cummings regularly comments on the EU deal and was the driving force behind expanding the Integrated Review, and has been very critical of the MOD and the Forces. He is the brain behind Boris.

Does Cummings Ggggrrrr make the decisions?

Oh and on your second paragraph.

I would not worry your little head about that review.

My (considerable) experience is that the next review will be along way before the ink is dry on this one, let alone "decades"

It has been like that since the wall came down (arguably longer).

I suspect that the departments concerned will employ the usual approach of "consent and evade"

Mind you some of us remember that MARILYN (manning and recruitment in the lean years of the 90s, based on demographics which stated that there would be less 18-22 year olds to recruit from) was running at the same time time as Options for Change commenced.
