Why we need Universities.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Well, someone's got to round up the Soylent Green candidates.

  2. Or we could teach pupils to read and write at school rather than spend their time colouring maps or Swaziland, being told why smoking is bad for you, and queuing up to use the pillar drill in "tech." If there are any lawyers out there, could you provide me with advice on how to sue my parents, or the government, for loss of earnings due to my so called comprehensive education?

  3. You're forgetting the real reason why we need universities. Do you really want the likes of me roaming the streets?

  4. Maybe you should have worked harder to get out of the bottom sets :)

  5. Broads, booze and football. I found my college career to be a mixture of these three things. Ah, the best 6 years of my life... ;-)

  6. Not quite sure what this has to do with universities but I couldn't help noticing that "The all-girls school opened in 1941 as John Gleed Secondary Modern School for Girls. I'll be willing to bet that the girls on the school's secretarial course any time up to at least 1980 could have done better than this on a typewriter aged 14.
