This picture was taken at SEME almost 2 years ago now, I donât know if itâs still there but could someone tell me why this tank is pink???
Itâs something Iâve always wondered and never had an answer toâ¦
Goku, 'They' have always recruited from a broad spectrum! And the Brighton troop were originally from the 27 Reg. (The Queens Own herbaceous Borders, nicknamed 'The Pansies') Part of the 2nd Royal Horticultural Brigade.
Spoils of war mes compadres. This vehicle was taken in the Falklands, by 49 Para at location 'x'. As I recall there were other vehicles, some weapons and in instances, articles of clothing.
I believe that the Army Museum is gathering a collection of similar items for an exhibition for the 25 years anniversary show being currently held. The 'pink' items have only just been 'cleared' for show. The units holding them have completed the field trials and R&D stuff and are due there in Aug(?)
This is a rare photo. How come it's been 'cleared' for this forum.... very unusual indeed. MOD PERSEC please!!!!!
Well, I heard it was a commisioned presentation piece from a Brighton artist. Seemingly the Regimental Specialists wanted to leave the Corps something to remember them by! Sadly missed I say. Who we gonna take the piss out of now?
