bear in mind hald the ships at trafalgar were captured from the french its just carrying on a fine tradition. provided they kept the crew in the hold covered by a few cannon.
  2. A rather misleading title. I didn't read anything about the French providing a refuge to pirates. The rest seems quite practical. The French have frigates we don't so to stop the helo rusting it goes out to play with them for a while.
  3. How long before the Navy hands over it Heli to the pirates?
  4. Hailed a success? Really? Short of crashing into the sea, what else could the result have been?
  5. Perhaps surrender is the common ground in this relationship. Sort of like a battered women's support group for navies.
