I agree with pretty much all that has been said by my fellow moderators, whether "senior" or "junior" (didn't know there was such a thing, still everyday.... etc)They are absolutely free to discuss BLM or other topics and are entitled to articulate why they disagree. Unfortunately some are clearly incapable of doing so without condemning entire populations based on skin tone or religion using inflammatory and racist language. They then lose the right to post.
We seem to have some double standards sticking their heads above the parapet. How is it okay for members on this site to slag off anyone who is a regular church goer, but make one statement against Islam, Hinduism, Bhuddism etc, and you are labelled a racist?
The same applies to having a pop at sweaties, paddies or taffies. Absolutely fine! Just don't say anything about those with a different tone to their skin. I very often see the Gibson's dog reference, which to me is just as offensive as using the name itself, but nobody seems to do or say anything.
Society seems to allow certain exceptions, such as "going for a chinky" or "I bought it at the p*** shop".
I, like many abhor racism in all of it's forms but am sick and tired of the holierthan thou attitude of those who accept some but decry others. If it belittles one party for being different to others then it is racist.
