Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Mrs. Miner goes for Kate Bush (snigger, snigger), or Amy Winohouse.

Personally I'm going for Dusty Springfield.

    Annie Lennox is class though.

    Edited for my spakoid spelling.

  2. I'm torn between Lulu and Lena Zavaroni, but then again aren't we all.

  3. Danny La Rue

No, change that to Shirley Bassey.

  4. Dusty was excellent and helped bring Mo'town to this country. My choice has to be Shirley Bassey though.

Listen to her song 'Diamonds are Forever' a very subtle hint about an appendage that nearly got the song banned by the British Board of Film Censors.

  5. maguire

    maguire LE Book Reviewer

  6. Who was the bird with the Beehive singing in the 1980's?

  7. Kirsty McColl - fantastic songwriter and very good singer.

Probably best not to ask her for advice about speedboats though.

  8. I'd go for Sandy Denny.

  9. Annie Lennox.

    Seconded.

  10. Vera Lynn

  11. Gremlin

    Gremlin LE Good Egg (charities)

Seconded, and also for some reason Cerys Matthews for that ever-so-slightly smoky voice.

  12. Alison Moyet followed close second by Kate Bush

    (with me inbetween :D)
