Week 1 of Basic for me. I can still vividly remember the washing, shaving and ironing lessons with 1 of the DS doing the full “ED” part of “EDIP” show on a lecture theatre stage, including how to polish your undercarriage!

My dad used an electric razor and I didn’t live with him from the age of 14. My mum didn’t teach me. I had seen my Grandad shave with a wet razor but I was only a kid, so didn’t pay attention. I guess I was self taught.

I joined up at 17 and could buy blades. Nowadays you have to prove age before you can buy them. How do kids nowadays buy razor blades during training, as legally they are not allowed? Obviously the law is ignored, or somebody buys them instead.
