Cornish fishermen netting Dutch subs, RN destroyer playing chicken with Australia, Canadians starting fires in second hand subs and not to mention the incidents in the Norwegian fjords, the Scottish Isles (another sub) and a mine hunter that decided she didn't like the jetty at Portsmouth a few years back. Who'd want to join the navy?

HONOLULU -- The U.S. Navy said a sailor aboard a nuclear submarine has died of injuries received when the USS San Francisco ran aground while submerged about 350 miles south of Guam.
Very likely the old man. No idea who he is or what heâs like but given the magnitude of his responsibility, for a reward that is not really commensurate, unless he is a complete tuuat and / or there was some mitigating occurrence (and I doubt it) he will be going through his own hell. He is almost as worthy of our sympathy as his shipmate who died.
