White Fleet for posting?

#1
Apologies if this has already been covered, can't seem to get any answers.

Question is, I've recently been selected for promotion and recieved a posting order. I want to know if I have any sort of entitlement to white fleet to move some of my equipment. As some of it is expensive, and I'd rather not send it through the MFO chain. I'm a single soldier living in SLA moving within the country over 50miles to another SLA block.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Why don't you just rent a van? You could do the whole thing in less than a day, it'll cost you Fifty Quid and you'll avoid all of the hassle.

Yeah, it would. But as i've only been selected, and not yet promoted. It's money i wouldn't have until January payday. I'd just rather not skint myself over the christmas period.

When I finished in Germany I just asked if I could borrow something and I was lent a vehicle for the weekend. Why don't you just ask to borrow something?

You can download JSP 752 and 754 from the Internet.

Because he's trying to work out if there's a possibility he could get it for free?

Talking out of my bum, via a mobile telephone.

The Military will move your belongings at the cheapest cost to the unit. If you csn prove that there is no freight going the way of your move then you may have grounds to get a van from the unit. Or just speak to the MTWO he may say yes.

He may say yes but it is more likely he will say "Haaaa Haaaaa Haaaaaaaa - **** off"

As already mentioned UKPASH in JPS 752 - you get approximately £215 as an allowance, more than enough to cover hire for two days plus fuel expense. Just make sure you get authorisation before you go ahead with it from your losing unit.

I just borrowed a 4 tonner for moving my stuff.

MT shouldn't give you anything cos the MFO system is there. If you don't trust that system, you can make private arrangements as previously mentioned. See if the PRI has a minibus or a van you can borrow, failing that hand in pocket time
