Where can i sell my mess dress

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to sell my unwanted mess dress. I am soon to be a member of the civilian population and this is just taking up room in my wardrobe.

I have put it on the classified board with no luck!

Any help greatly appreciated.

I didnt know they would sell the used stuff, i know many years ago i bought my first set from the thrift shop in Chatham. Ill give the sapper shop a call and see if they can help.

Many thanks

ha ha ha thats a good one! If only it was that simple!

If anyone can help me get shot of this I am willing to send 20% of the sale to ARRSE charity!
hows about a new web site that hasnt been going for very long called.......... ebay?!?!
I tried ebay and it didnt sell, there was a RE SNCO mess dress on there the week before and that sold with only one bid! I am going to get a friend to put it on the sales and wants board at Chilwell. Maybe i should have sold it a bit ago when the WO2 board came out! Maybe i should have put some more port stains on it!

put an advert in here for it.

have you tried ebay????

good luck, laters.
Cheers Knocker have done.

Thrift shop at Brompton still operates. Phone the QM Dept of 1 RSME.
loads of mess dress available on ebay & most seem to be selling.
depends how much you want to get for it i suppose.
after speaking to the guy at the thrift shop it seems I am not far off on what i want. Seen lots on there but for like £60.00 deffinately not selling it for that. Maybe ill try and re-sell it on there, it didnt really have a lot of views last time only 20 which is really low for ebay. I will keep trying!

When you put it on EBay look up one that has sold and use the "sell one similar" function as this will put it in the same categories and use the same title wording.

Oh and putting the words SAS or para in the title helps too although you will be in a whole world of p*ss taking if you get pinged! See the EBay thread in the NAAFI for examples.
:D hi just a long shot. But i wonder if a fancy dress shop would buy it off you let me know how you get on hope it helps may be worth trying a none military town or city for the shop location . also if you are at chillwell try 350 sqn next door there may be a newly promoted TA sgt who might be interested good luck
FFS my mess dress was the first made to measure kit that I ever bought, I paid for it, its mine forever and I will be buried in it, with a few size adjustments of course.
thanks Mac another helpfull comment!
