When did the rest of the Army adopt coloured berets?

#1
I just watched this clip on Pathe News, it shows a parade in Calais, at the Green Jacket memorial, it is dated 1951. What was of interest to me was the fact that the KRRC and RB riflemen seem to be wearing Rifle green berets, I know the RTR black beret predates WWII, and that airborne adopted the maroon beret near the start. But I was not sure when other Regiments like the Green Jackets etc changed from the khaki berets worn in the War to something a bit more colourful.

Anybody Old and Bold remember back that far?

I don't !
But I believe that the change for the bulk of the army (inc Rifle Regts) took place in the first quarter of 1948
