What TV show have you just watched

Space Force on Netflix. Quite funny, mainly thanks to John Malkovic. Lisa Kudrow's let herself go a bit since Friends. Still trying to work out how her character (the general's wife) ended up in the nick!

'Warrior Nun' on Netters. All 10 episodes available. Warrior Nun (TV Series 2020– ) - IMDb
Well, I am watching the Mrs watch it while I am looking over the top of my lappy.
I thought it was some spoof porn or bad B movie at first but the lead chick, a Portuguese young lady took my liking.
Lots of kicking arrse and Ninja and Jap slapping antics. Think 'The peoples front of judea' in a modern setting with a fair bit of violence, and some Holy grail stuff thrown in.
9/10 on the Biff scale.

Me too. I had to go back to the first Ep to see if I had missed something or that they had missed an episode out. Still none the wiser.

Quick heads-up.

For those who haven't seen it, lost it or want to see it again, Band Of Brothers is being repeated on Sky Atlantic. Tonight (Saturday 4/7) at 9pm.

Arguably one of the best series ever made.

Not watched but listened to "Apollo 13 : The Rescue" on radio4 today presented by Kevin Fong. Told the story in some depth with audio archives and new interviews with the Apollo crew and the ground engineers. Even though I was familiar with the story, the program provided nuts and bolts details of the rescue that I wasn't aware of.

Was there much that wasn't covered in Ron Howard's excellent film on the subject? I know that the film changed Lovell's famous quote to Houston because it sounded better in their version.

This Festive episode below from " Still Game " with three stories in one ... the plum school location for a "Lollypop Man .... the new " Puggy " ... an Annual Choir competition .... and an absolute stunner makes a fortune ;) .... there are no sub titles .

CHCH-TV from Hamilton, Ontario. The station is available to the approx 8 million people in what's called the Golden Horseshoe with Toronto at one end and Hamilton at the other.

Cheers,
Dan.
(Pssst) The Golden Horseshoe encompasses Toronto then all the way round to Niagara Falls. Buffalo N.Y also picks up CHCH.

Thoroughly enjoyed the repeat of Maigret with Rowan Atkinson on Sunday night, (watched it again on catchup on Monday). I wasn't sure about him the first time round, because I couldn't get the idea that he was still Mr Bean out of my head. His supporting team are also very good and strike the right note between respect and comradeship. Beats the remake of Van der Valk hands down - pity they are not making any more.

Also finished catching up on the first two series of Babylon Berlin, although it left more loose ends than a ball of string! Also, it started to become less and less believable as the series went on. My son is downloading series 3 for me so shall see how it pans out.

Just finished watching Reilly, Ace of Spies made by Thames TV in 1983.
Started off a bit Meh (ish) but gave it a round of applause by the last episode.
Superb performances all round with special mentions for Kenneth Cranham as the most realistic Lenin ever and Tom Bell as the inscrutable Felix Dzerzhinsky, the cast list has many familiar names in it and they all performed well.
Another sign of quality was Verity Lamberts name in the credits.
I had forgotten how good this series actually was.
Left me feeling a bit sad for an age when quality TV was the rule and not the exception.
10/10 from me.

I've just watched the final episode of the final series of The Bridge. Excellent stuff, powerful and convoluted. Not sure what to watch next, I'm spoiled for choice.

Couldn’t find anything last night, then wifey said we had the box set of The Tudors, go on then.
We watched two episodes and there was quite a bit of tupping going on along with a decent beheading.
More tonight.

The Ambulance programme on BBC1 on Wednesday night is excellent. This series is focussing on Liverpool so, as they say, all human life is there.

It wouldn’t have been my first choice to watch after seeing the trailers, however, after the first episode Ms Zem and I are both hooked. And hats of to the lead actress who wrote the script, and who plays in a seemingly honest way, whilst being the lead also lets other two or three characters have a major part in the narrative with the their own stories woven into it.

Some really touching stories in that series. It’s not something I could do, I think, so i’m Heartily glad there are some selfless people out there who become paramedics.

Ninja Nuns with guns led by Jurgen Klopp's twin brother, I'll be finished by first light, I'm loving it.
