what Podcasts do you recommend?

Bumping this because I'm listening to History of Rome again in work at the minute.

I can also recommend The British History Podcast by Jamie Jeffers (he's up to the Great Heathen Army and Ivar the Boneless at the minute, after over 200 episodes already), Athletico Mince (a 'football' podcast by Bob Mortimer and Andy Dawson, they guarantee at least 8% football content in every episode. It's hilarious and worth a listen just for Bob's songs at the end of the most recent shows), the BBC Fighting Talk podcast (a comedy sport show they do on Five Live every Saturday), the Guardian's football podcast is very good as is The Anfield Wrap (for Liverpool fans).

Anyone else got any to recommend?

How Did This Get Made- comedians take the piss out of shite films.

The Black List Table Reads- essentially radio plays of film scripts on the Hollywood black list of unmade films.

The Up All Night World Football phone in on BBC Radio 5 is entertaining although I usually listen to it live so I can contribute.

A bit of light comedy

It’s widely accepted that the thought of parents having sex is enough to chill their offspring to the core. The podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno takes the embarrassment to another level, with toe-curlingly funny results.

A second series started this week, allowing softly-spoken podcast pedlar Jamie Morton to share his feelings about his dad’s attempt at erotic fiction, Belinda Blinked. Under the pen name Rocky Flintstone, his very broad-minded father writes about the lascivious adventures of pots and pans saleswoman Belinda Blumenthal. Morton is joined by friends James Cooper and Radio 1’s Alice Levine as he reads out and deconstructs each chapter. There’s sniggering, there’s rambling, and most of all, there’s much ripping to shreds of the saucy prose through tears of laughter.

My Dad Wrote a Porno review – the unerotic podcast is back with a bang

Steve Wright in the Afternoon, and his 'serious jockin'.

No, but seriously, the 'Janet and John' podcasts are still about, if you can find them. Or, if you have a usb slot, try this site and download some very good comedy. Dad's Army | RadioEchoes.com

Just to add, this site is not just Dad's Army. There are hundreds ( quite literally) of comedy shows including many ISHAC and I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again.

Maybe we should have a thread about podcasts and short stories of note.

These are handy for those who have long commutes to work or are otherwise driving long distances as part of their work.

First Up Shit Town..... Been getting some rave reviews. Only part way through it at the moment as the trouble I have is finding the time but friends (who do drive at work) have said it is ace.

S-Town Podcast

The series of 7 chapters can be found on the usual android/iTunes type of podcast players which allow searches and will continue to play from where left off.

This BBC offering also comes recommended although I am still try try it...

The Infinite Monkey Cage - Downloads - BBC Radio 4

Hopefully once we get some further contributions a Mod can promote this thread to sticky to it is easy to find <<<<< Hint.
