What now for the EU ?

The "Useless class" question has always existed, as already highlighted, the uptake in employment by newly arrived migrants is very low. The question remains, why add to the useless class ?

As for paying taxes, the clue is in the title - tax payers. They are people who have the skills and, in the case of migrants, a willingness to embrace the values of their new home and do what they can to make the best of their lot . In the case of corporate tax payers, they too contribute based on individuals who are employable.

There are various reasons for encouraging migrations. In France, the migrant has replaced the worker as the "hero" of the Left. Workers now vote for le Pen because the Socialists are too busy doing deals with islamic organisation here and there to secure the moslem vote. The working class suburbs of North Paris that used to be mostly held by the Communist Party have now all fallen to the deadly mix of Socialists and islamists.

As for the useless class, a new one is in the making, people who were not permanently on the dole but who held low qualified, low paying job. These are the next to go.

Regarding taxes, the few remaining workers of the 2060s can't be asked to pay the pensions of the huge number of retirees they will have to support. Another pension system has to be set up.

Out of 705 MEPs. That's abysmal and in no way representative of the ethnicity of the EU. Of course, being representative would only matter if it were a democracy.

I also wonder why the left never railed at freedom of movement, a racist immigration policy which favours white majority countries.

Thankfully our new points based system is colour blind.

Well done the Brexiteers.

Voters vote for who they want. If they don't want to send a black or an asian politician to Brussels, it is their right.

Frankly I have no idea but I would be surprised if their isn't an "action group" on that topic...

I don't think so.

Politico reckons they're blind to diversity:

One of the reasons some didn't want the UK to leave is because we had so many BAME MEPs. Us leaving made the diversity even worse in the EU parliamentary assembly.

But it's the UK that's racist.

Democracy means many different things and there are many different kinds of democracy. All are subjective. The EU is not a country so can't be compared with the British Parliamentary system. As an organisation charged with regulating trade between many countries and the world, it makes sense to run it in it's current form. Leading up to the referendum it was clear that many people had no idea how it works and still don't. A people's vote on complex matters would have been silly, as legal minds, scientists, ecologists, economists and a long list of qualified experts are required to produce new laws. The system allows any such laws to be changed.

Mindless propaganda on social media is responsible for the irrational hatred and deep rooted ignorance that got us into this mess.
Well, there was me thinking you were against leaving the EU, considering this is exactly how remain behaved and still continues to do so! Go and ask remainers how the EU works, they're totally clueless!
Careful now, the communist veil appears to be slipping.

I disagree on every level. See how this wonderful democracy called Great Britain gets on without the EU.
We’ll be ok.

Pragmatism will overcome dogma and a mutually acceptable solution between the EU and the UK will eventually be found. Everyone will be disappointed with the result.

We will still cooperate with our friends and neighbours.

Life will go on.

The Brussels environment is ultra-PC. When you get as well paid as a Eurocrat, you don't risk losing your job for a race or gender joke or comment...

A black MEP claims he was told to leave the European Parliament on his first day in the new job.

Magid Magid, who represents Yorkshire and The Humber for the Green Party,

All together now...

Loin de chez nous en Afrique

Loin de chez nous, en Afrique
Combattait le bataillon,

Pour refaire à la Patrie
Sa splendeur, sa gloire et son renom.

Pour refaire à la Patrie
Sa splendeur, sa gloire et son renom.

La bataille faisait rage,
Lorsque l'un de nous tomba

Et mon meilleur camarade
Gisait là blessé auprès de moi.

Et mon meilleur camarade
Gisait là blessé auprès de moi.

Et ses lèvres murmurèrent
Si tu retournes au pays,

A la maison de ma mère
Parle-lui, dis-lui à mots très doux

A la maison de ma mère
Parle-lui, dis-lui à mots très doux

Dis-lui qu'un soir en Afrique,
Je suis parti pour toujours,

Dis-lui qu'elle me pardonne
Car nous nous retrouverons un jour.

Dis-lui qu'elle me pardonne
Car nous nous retrouverons un jour.
cough chod cough

Its going to happen - and soon. Typical example - driverless vehicles within 5 - 10 years. Then no taxi drivers, bus drivers, white van men, articulated lorry drivers and train drivers. That, at a rough guess, is a million jobs gone in the UK. Rise and repeat across Europe, and you can see a huge economic problem building

We need to pull up the drawbridge on 1st January 2021 and actively start hoofing every illegal immigrant back whence they came. And we need to stem the flow of immigrants coming across the channel by stating that as they haven't claimed asylum in the first safe country they got to, they're not entitled to apply for it in the UK. It's a brutal fact of life that economic migrants are 'useless mouths' in the job famine that's coming.

We at least are surrounded by sea - which poses barriers for illegal immigrants. The EU has porous borders and much better benefits that (say) North Africa. As automation drives the North African factories out of business by cutting out the labour cost of production, the EU is going to need to build a new iron curtain to keep waves of desperate refugees out.

I reckon we'll see Iron Curtain Mk 2 built inside a generation.

It's starting to happen in pharmacies to. Think of a vending machine type carousel, that can order, dispense/check and bag your prescription, all done via electronic prescription online, sent by the GP. Averaging between £70,000 to £150,000 depending on the size you want.

Which begs the question I put to fantassian, why did the Germans take the decision on behalf of the EU to allow unchecked migration from across the Middle East, Africa, Afghanistan and the sub continent ?

No chance. Despite the hype from industry there is a very long and very difficult road to travel in order to gain safety approval for true (level 5) driverless vehicles

Would the violent resistance, using edged weapons, of a boarding party raise the level of threat to life to such a degree that lethal force would be a proportionate response?
Such as: stand off, sink the boat. Pick up survivors if they apologise?

And of course he made a dish out of it.

The G4S staff which arrested him was probably himself of North African origin like most of them are in the EU institutions so playing the race card is not exactly honest...

Even if the security staff was of North African descent, you can bet your arse that he was following the orders/procedures/protocols of a white man.

I'd bet money on it.

But it's the British that are racist.

I'm Asian, btw, you're all gaijin to me; black or white, just different kinds of hairy baboons.

As would have been the case had we stayed in the EU to sort out any issues from within. But now like a bull in a china shop the damage caused is beyond fixing within a decade. Life was good... but Facebook indoctrinated losers ended it for a fantasy...
