What now for the EU ?

Flavour and fragrance ingredient manufacturer (who knew of such a thing?!) Treatt have announced they are building a new £41m factory and global HQ in Bury St Edmunds. More than 200 people will be employed on the site when it becomes operational.

I can't cope with much more of this.
You and MSM both.
I would imagine the reason none of this inward investment is mentioned, is because news editors find themselves with too much choice as to which stories they should run.*

* Which one of those jolly little piccy thingies does one use to imply ‘some sarcasm may be involved’.

I've come to the conclusion that the term "Having one's cake and eating it", is a bit Duh!
You don't buy cake unless you wish to eat it. There is no point in having cake and not eating it.
I think the term "You can't have the cake you bought because we're having it", is apter. But then the French should know- the last time a French Queen- who was Austrian mentioned Cake they decapitated her. What is it about the French and cakes?

I thought that M Barnier wants our cake. When he’s eaten it he wants us to give him another one and another and pay for the privilege of watching him eat it.

My two pennies' worth is that Biden is more pro-EU, TTiP will be back on the table, and he'll be cooler towards the UK.

Trump's foreign policy is not consistent, so fvck knows with him. Maybe Farage might help us out here? They seem friendly enough.

I've got £20 on Trump to win, so on balance, I hope the Septics vote for him.
What odds did you get ?

It's always been the same circus, it's just the clowns which change.
Aye, right enough. Conservative chancellors throwing money into the economy like socialists. What was once a fringe group of European nutters now running the show. (Don’t mention the shielding of an accused sex attacker) A man widely regarded as worst ForSec ever gets get made Prime Minister.
And not surprisingly is useless at that too.
‘This is going to be a fantastic year for Britain’.. Johnson Jan 2.

This will probably make more sense to you than me:

Before Brexit quite a few celebrities said they were going to leave the UK if Brexit happened - how many have actually followed through on their promise?

Jim Davidson - perhaps ?

No one else ( of any note ) :)
He's a Brexiteer he has a youtube channel and is commenting on stuf like Brexit/Covid/BLM etc all the time....
I think he's friends with Nigel Farage.

Twats like Lilly Allen, were all saying they would leave UK after Brexit (she's in USA because she married that dude from Stranger Things) - but as far as I know, none of them have left yet.

Nordic MEP Laura Huhtasaari unsure when & yes I would.

Didn't that vile creature Yasmin Alibaba Brown threaten to leave, thus raising the morale of the whole country? Pity she is still here getting more airtime from the antiBBC to spout her hatred.

So the EU losing half its share of world trade is fine with you? Seek psychiatric help immediately.

The UK's share of world trade has gone down in recent years, but we've generally outperformed the EU average. So we've been going down the $hitter slower.

And the reason we're leaving the EU is to escape the over-taxed, over-regulated, protectionist regime that is dragging the EU's share of world trade down. We're now in a lifeboat. The EU/Titanic is still full steam ahead for the iceberg.

False claims. Look at performances from 2008 to present. Take into account the global downturn. The iceberg exists only in your head.

Facts and figures on the EU’s position in global markets

  • The EU is the largest economy in the world. Although growth is projected to be slow, the EU remains the largest economy in the world with a GDP per head of €25 000 for its 500 million consumers.
  • The EU is the world's largest trading block. The EU is the world’s largest trader of manufactured goods and services.
  • The EU ranks first in both inbound and outbound international investments
  • The EU is the top trading partner for 80 countries. By comparison the US is the top trading partner for a little over 20 countries.
  • The EU is the most open to developing countries. Fuels excluded, the EU imports more from developing countries than the USA, Canada, Japan and China put together.
The EU benefits from being one of the most open economies in the world and remains committed to free trade.

  • The average applied tariff for goods imported into the EU is very low. More than 70% of imports enter the EU at zero or reduced tariffs.
  • The EU’s services markets are highly open and we have arguably the most open investment regime in the world.
  • The EU has not reacted to the crisis by closing markets. However some the EU’s trading partners have not been so restrained as the EU has highlighted in the Trade and Investment Barriers Report .
  • In fact the EU has retained its capacity to conclude and implement trade agreements. The recent Free Trade Agreements with South Korea and with Singapore are examples of this and the EU has an ambitious agenda of trade agreements in the pipeline.

She's a horrible little racist twat - how the hell does she get on TV? every-time she opens her mouth - vile pish spouts out of it. I was hoping she would stick to her word and leave the country, but she's all talk and no action - typical lefty.
