Both - for example the Chinese economy has grown at about 10% a year (unfair trading practices, etc, etc) which accounts for some of the decline - as do the developing economies of other countries.

But we've also drowning in red tape. And every pound spent on red tape is money not spent improving the efficiency of the business.

Politicians love passing legislation for ever more red tape. As most have f--- all experience of running a business, they are oblivious to the damage they are causing. Cut out the unnecessary regulation and we'll grow faster.

Spot on.

The amount of red tape we have to deal with is putting so much drag on profitability.

Hopefully. one thing to come out of brexit is a bit more streamlining so we can get our exports out with the minimum of fuss and the imports in efficiently

We do have to be careful though looking at less developed countries with double digit growth as this tapers off as a country becomes developed. China won't be able to keep up 10% going forwards

My two pennies' worth is that Biden is more pro-EU, TTiP will be back on the table, and he'll be cooler towards the UK.

Trump's foreign policy is not consistent, so fvck knows with him. Maybe Farage might help us out here? They seem friendly enough.

I've got £20 on Trump to win, so on balance, I hope the Septics vote for him.
