So the EU losing half its share of world trade is fine with you?
Oh dear.
And whilst that decline was in progress, Europe under the dictatorial yoke of Brussels became-and still is the highest taxed and regulated continent in the world. As opposed to the EU - which has lost half it's share of world trade since 1980. That's the sinking ship we're leaving.

Question. Has it lost half its share, or has the world economy grown?
Granted, stationary growth isn't a good thing, but it's just an thought.

Spot on.Both - for example the Chinese economy has grown at about 10% a year (unfair trading practices, etc, etc) which accounts for some of the decline - as do the developing economies of other countries.
But we've also drowning in red tape. And every pound spent on red tape is money not spent improving the efficiency of the business.
Politicians love passing legislation for ever more red tape. As most have f--- all experience of running a business, they are oblivious to the damage they are causing. Cut out the unnecessary regulation and we'll grow faster.

I'm interested in @History_Man's assertion that both the EU and UK are waiting to see who will be the next incumbent of the White House; as that will influence the outcome of any subsequent deal. What do you think will be the difference between any deal with Trump in the chair, as opposed to Biden?
The EU are keen for Biden* to win as if he becomes POTUS then you have both our oldest Ally & Brussels continuing to be staunch socialists colder than ice.My two pennies' worth is that Biden is more pro-EU, TTiP will be back on the table, and he'll be cooler towards the UK.
Trump's foreign policy is not consistent, so fvck knows with him. Maybe Farage might help us out here? They seem friendly enough.
I've got £20 on Trump to win, so on balance, I hope the Septics vote for him.
...Costs . . . EASY !!
Deduct from the present carefully, rigorously, costed Government benefit that is “Child Allowance”, that proportion/component that is included/intended for, the first two meals of the day...
Jolly good.
Sad to say, I've run out of pinches of salt with which to treat your mutterings.
Wait for the recriminations to start. The EU are keen for Biden* to win as if he becomes POTUS then you have both our oldest Ally & Brussels continuing to be staunch socialists colder than ice.
* Basically, anyone but Trump.
Noticable that today's Brexit talks are continuing with zero leaks, which is bizarre.

Could be happier. But not too dusty... but are you happy?
And why raise the issue?
Witty one liners & BL or HB or Skids? Shurely shome mishtake?Could be happier. But not too dusty.
You raised the issue some time ago. If you want to bare your breast to the world at large, carry on. Just remember what you've posted.
You were having a dig at Wordsmith, I found it amusing. I suppose you'd run out of witty one liners. (Giggle)
Missing the 'despite Brexit' tagFlavour and fragrance ingredient manufacturer (who knew of such a thing?!) Treatt have announced they are building a new £41m factory and global HQ in Bury St Edmunds. More than 200 people will be employed on the site when it becomes operational.
I can't cope with much more of this.
