Come on - really, what has Arrse ever done for us?

OK

It has lets us come together as a group with differing and strong opinions
It has allowed us to slag the meedja
It has allowed us to show our appreciatiation of politicians
It has allowed us to recognise the contribution that RAF Police give to the nation......

But really - what has ARRSE done for us?

OK

It has allowed Flash and MDN a chance to find a personality (but they are still looking)
It has allowed Knowledgeable and constructive discussion
It has allowed Corps and units to talk to themselves and sort out a few internal differences
It has allowed the Septics an input to real army life.

But really - what has ARRSE done for us?

OK

It has allowed the STABs to look as though they are part of the 'real' army
It has allowed the 'real' army to look down on the stabs

But really - what has ARRSE done for us?

OK

It has allowed occifers (on occasion senior) to look as though they care about their troops by reading the posts here and getting their staffers to post replies
It has allowed all and sundry to shown their appreciation of the work carried out in Glasgow

But really - what has ARRSE done for us?

Over to you

ARRSE showed the Blandford Babies for what they really are.
ARRSE got queers Moron sacked from his gravey train with the Mirror.
ARRSE gave us wonderful stories of 'Stumpy' the wonder dog.
ARRSE made people notice.

Apart from that not much really!

In my book, if any one of those alone happened, it would have been enough for me. Am I easily pleased?

ARRSE has made me cry laughing.
ARRSE has made me seeth with anger.
ARRSE has made me cringe with disgust.
ARRSE has made me stare in disbelief.

It has filled my life with emotion and I've met too many people who didn't do that. And that's sad.

P-P you could probably add -
Splatter the screen with coffee after reading an extract from RTFQ
Be invited to an 'Interview without coffee' after same

Be addicted to this site

Celebrate the birth of future ARRSEers (well done Beebs)

Give a differing point of view (never)

Show 'respect' to the Really Large Corps

But really - What has ARRSE done for us?

'What has ARRSE ever done for us?'

A question I never thought I'd hear from a dedicated ARRSEr like A-Y, I must say.

For my part, it keeps me (reasonably) sane, it lets me pretend I have friends, and I like the utter drivel that gets passed off as confirmed fact 90% of the time - really makes my day! :D

Well ARRSE "done" me head in a few times with wnakers posting utter bosh on it. Does that count?

In a, of course, totally unrelated question to my first sentence what prompted you to start this thread A-Y?

Arrse forced a re-evaluation and positve action over the important issue of Forces voting. Is that too strong a statement? No, I don't think so.

Giving Auld Yin a whole bunch of imaginary friends, who don't run away when he prances about the room wearing his mothers feather boa and badly applied make up, and with his shaven widgey tucked between his legs.

Letting Cpl Ripper find his old platoon commander.

Making Cpl Ripper’s working day more interesting.

Finding walts.

Showing the Blandford Babies for what they really are.

Getting queers Moron sacked from his gravey train with the Mirror.

Giving us wonderful stories of 'Stumpy' the wonder dog.

Making people notice.

Making Plant Pilot seethe with anger.

Making Plant Pilot cringe with disgust.

Making Plant Pilot stare in disbelief.

Giving Baby Blue a good laugh at the end of a hard working day.

Keeping Darth D (reasonably) sane, letting him pretend he had friends, and liking the utter drivel that gets passed off as confirmed fact 90% of the time.

Forcing a re-evaluation and positive action over the important issue of Forces voting.

Doing mizkrissi’s head in a few times with wnakers posting utter bosh on it.

Given Biscuits AB access to other 'Tourettes' sufferers........c*nts.

Proving to Biscuits AB that not all of the fat, miserable, po faced, pie eating, desperate wimmin are in my unit.
