What are they, and what are they worth ?

I know there are already identification threads, but I'm posting this for an older gentleman who has a very decent rack but over the years has received a number of other medals from various places.
It's just easier for him to monitor this in a single thread.
As you might imagine he's not a laaitie any more and was wondering if these were worth him converting to cash to help him through these times.

If any of the fundis know these awards please post it up.

I know the three stabby things on the right are similar to the first issue IFOR mount, but apart from identifying the medals, what's that at the top ?

Two neck decorations with gongs for a rack - are the chest ones the same "level" as the neck ones ?

The first in this mount is similar to the neck decoration to the left of Photo #003, but it has a rosette - is it different to the other two ?
Also the fifth one has a similar riband to the squarish one in Photo #002, what's the score ?

Better photos may be available if necessary.

Gentlemen, in your own time, go on.

All of them ?
Get a grip.

No. Some of them are from the product range of the Central African Republic's equivalent of the Franklin Mint.

I shall leave you to play with yourself.

Looks like someones raided Kenny Everetts dressing up box.

It's been an interesting day, I apologise for my short answer.

First photo bottom middle

First pic, bottom row, centre: French Cross of the European Confederation of Former Combatants

Doing a bit of reading around it I think it is one of those privately purchased medals.

Value around 25 quid.

Edit: Bugger, stacker beat me to it.

Are you telling us the French can self award themselves medals ?

Rather reminds me of that bit in the Day of the Jackal , where he basically takes a punt buying those medals .
Imagine if his whole plan had fallen down when some medal collector had questioned his rack , on his way to take a pot shot at De Gaulle

" But mesieur , how were you awarded a Regimental Cross Country Medal , vous has only one leg , nes pa ? "

The following are unofficial French badges/insignia

LES ASSOCIATIVES

See introduction - (here's a rough translation of the first & last paragraphs)

"In addition to official Orders and Medals, there are unofficial medals. These were created and are allocated by Associations Law 1901, which in the 19th century were commonly called "Sociètés.

However, article 8 of the decree of 06/11/1920 specifies that: "the wearing of the badges of honorary distinctions, created and awarded by associations, or ribbons or rosettes which commemorate them, is only authorized in the meetings of these associations."

Many thanks for the gen so far.
As he seems adamant he wants to sell them, I'd like to get as much advice as possible to ensure he gets a good a deal as he can.

Unfortunately, as most of the medals are unofficial, there isn't a 'standard catalogue price'! As mentioned above, they fall under the catgory of Franklin /Bigsbury Mint type products. I would hazard a guess at somewhere around 200€ for the lot on eBay. Perhaps more if an eBay listing includes France/Belgium/Europe.
