What are the 3 most important parts of basic training?

Slippers, 24 pack of fosters and your xbox trust me the staff will respect you for that. Plus you will have loads of free time to sit down and play COD with your new found chums.

One day it's offering gen advice in the NAAFI...the next it's discussing the merits of mustard corduroys on the officer's forum.
Whoa whoa whoa!! Now you're going too far! ;)

1.) Make sure your sword and halberd are kept sharp.

2.) Gruel is not just for breakfast. It can be used to blanco webbing.

3.) Make sure the white cross belts are centred perfectly on your chest over the red coat to give the enemy something to aim at.

There was a lot of truth in that many years ago.

I would add, make sure that you get a bed space well away from the barrack room door, preferably in the far corner of the barrack room, for when the the Troop DIs come in at 0600 smashing feck out of dustbin lids and screaming their heads off. It really does make for a rude awakening.

Whatever, good luck and enjoy your training and your service. In fifty years time you could be posting the same sort of crap that I post.
