What am I doing wrong?

#1
Whenever I post a reply, even if I hit return to make a space between lines like this,(It should now appear two lines down), most of my text just joins up in one continuous sentence.(New Line) Have i messed up my settings or am I doing something else wrong?(New LIne) Being a geordie means my English language skill are poor at the best of times so I dont need any assistance on this front.(New Line) Confused from the North East.

Mine does it as well, I'm sure there's a fix for it somewhere, but short of physically assaulting the search function, I can't find it.

BC, if I could, I would.
Try this to see if it helps,
Go to Your Settings (top right hand side of page)

Then select- General Settings (near the bottom, on left of page)

Then scroll down page to - Miscellaneous Options

Tick -Enable enhanced interface - full WYSIWYG editing

Then scroll down and - Save Changes.
Depending on your browser you might have to use the Standard Editor (if theWYSIWGY Editor doesn’t work)

Are you on DII? I seem to recall it's a known problem if so.

Can't hurt to try HHH's suggestion above though.

I feel I may have identified your problem?

Being a Geordie means you are right. In any and every circumstance and if there is an issue it it the other ****(s) who are wrong.

I bet you live in Washington, don't you? ******* Geordie Walt.

I have a similar problem and my display of arrse is linear down the left side of the screen - there's no horizontal options. I've tried the editor settings bit and its made no difference. I also cant see quotes very well - I have to interpret where a quote satrts and ends as its run contiuously together with the new poster's comments.
