Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Commons written answers, 19 Oct:

Table is at THIS LINK. Data is tri-service, and listed by NATO rank system.

  2. So there are only 98,000 in the Army now.....bloody hell even BT employ more.

  3. I heard some where that 100,000 is the break line between a militia and an army...

Of course I could be talking out of my arrse.

  4. NATO rank system ! Trying to tell us something ?

  5. from Commons Hansard yesterday 20 Oct, figures now given including regular and volunteer reservists as well as regulars, however from a quick glance I believe they have transposed the number of part-time and full-time (mobilised) reservists in the table Will probably be corrected when they notice it.
