Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi Folks..... hope you don't mind this post
When you read it - you'll know why I thought you should see it:

Families and friends of anyone deploying on Op Herrick 15 should ask them to register at the website of Shoeboxes Fortroops for welfare parcels. Registration can either be done as an individual, or as a group liaison which allows them to receive a batch of parcels for distribution to others. Please feel free to copy and paste as appropriate on your travels. To those deploying have a good tour and stay safe. Thanks.Welcome To Shoeboxes4troops

  2. Don't get me wrong. Good luck to you and I hope you get a lot of donations.

But why does a professional Army have to receive welfare parcels? The political 'elite' should hang their heads in shame.

  3. Not so much welfare, more morale.....and they always bring a smile.

  4. The group doesnt ask for donations, Its for people that would like to send some home comforts out to our lads & lasses out on deployment. I have in the last year sent over 100 boxes out to squaddies :) and have had some lovely e-blueys sent back thanking me for them, and how it boosts their morale :)
