Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Gents, your help please:

Can some kind soul please send me the link to the Defence Recognition Journal (DRJ).

    It is on there somewhere....

    .....i just dont know where!
  2. Alas the DRJ is no more.......
  3. i bow my head in respect at the loss of a worthy journal,

Has anything been stood up to fill the void?

Can you still get the old journals online? (DII or anything else?).
  4. Link through RAF Airspace, unfortunately I suspect the set-up is similar to ArmyNet, but you may be able to access through DII.

It closed due to lack of funding, I'm afraid. The RN and Army would not cough up their share, so the RAF shut it down as they couldn't afford to run it on their own.

Pity, it was good stuff, and essential reading for those of a spotterish (spotty?) disposition.
  6. No joy!

only accessable by the holders of Crab Air loyalty cards.

    cheers anyway

    Any one else any ideas?

The end of an era. Many a boring night was spent trying to memorise the shape of friendly/unfriendly aircraft and vehicles as they would look at 5km.

I need to get out more.
