Water Wars

Good in depth piece on Iran
Iran’s Summer of Discontent: A Warning for Washington

And if that’s not enough bad economic news, all of this is occurring against the backdrop of the most intense drought Iran has experienced in half a century. Iran’s Energy Minister said recently that 334 cities with 35 million people are struggling with water stress, with half of those affected experiencing a “red alert situation.” One Iranian parliamentarian recently labeled the situation in Sistan and Baluchestan province as “a danger threatening national security.” Power shortages and blackouts are now common in many cities, including in Tehran, which is obviously a particular problem during the hot summer months...

Yessss!!! Frenches join the competition on the 'most stupid Russophobic statement'!
Their Parliament is going to research Russian guilty in the hot weather in France.

Wow! Seriously?

And when a sturdeon has been seemed in Thames last time? In the 8th centure?
2013.
Your point is (as usual ) irrelevant.

Our sturgeon went extinct due to overfishing waterway management and pollution in a much smaller body of water.
Yours are rapidly going the same way.
I am quite aware of the out of control caviar poaching that has pretty much eliminated the species in Russia.
Over course, that doesn't fit your world view does it, rapist?

Edit:the IUCN list sturgeon as a critically endangered species.
Russia says it makes 90 tons of caviar legally per year.
It exports 250 ton....
Says a lot really.

Overfishing is a problem, not a pollution. And yes, now, after with the stupid actions of Ukrainian Coastal Guard (capturing "Nord" ship), this problem is solving. Ukrainian fishermen are much more seriously controlled by the Russian Coastal Guard, and preffer to sit in their ports all the time.
So, with the stop of Ukrainian fishing in the Azov sea, population of sturdeon is significally increasing, and very likely, that after 2025 legal sturgeon fishing will be resumed.
But there are no articles named as "The civil war in Ukraine restore the fish resourses in Azov sea and Don river".

No, rapist.
The article points to the pollution of the Don as a result of the war started by Russia.

You brought up the sturgeon issue, which used to be a common species across Russia.

Most major fisheries are on the Caspian, not Black Sea or Azov.

I suspect that you actually mean the Ukrainian fisheries don't dare put to sea because of Russian State piracy.

Your ignorance is only matched by your stupidity, bigotry and perversion.

Fish population is what really matters when we are talking about the pollution. And the overfishing is what really affects fish population in Azov and Don, not the pollution.
Pollution of the water as result of the military action is insignificant comparing with the industrial one.
Both industrial pollution and fishing were decreased because of civil war in the Ukraine, started by the West supported Neo-Nazy bandiy. Fish population is increasing.
Kicking-off Ukrainian fishermen from the Azov sea is a good solution of the sturgeon problem. "The Cod Wars 2.0".

Proof of any if this, or just Russo fascist windbaggery?
Oh.
No proof.
Just the empty noise of a rapist.

How about not being a fascist, bigoted troll with a sideline in rape?
Respectable and credible references please.
That is, anything NOT Russian.
And not Anglo-Saxon, too. In fact, I very doubt that it is allowed to Unrussians to count fish in Azov sea, and, especially, in Don river. It is Russian river, Russian sea and Russian business, that should be not interested for Unrussians. What is even more important, your journalists are not interested in the real information about the actual ecological situation in Azov sea - how it was changed with the reunion of Crime with Russia, increasing activity of the some groups of industry, decreasing activity of other groups, building Crimean bridge, block of Dnepr-depended irrigation, end of Ukrainian fishermen activity and so on... It is really complex situation, and too complicated task for the weak British brains. They need only simpliest Russophobic barking, and it is only what they can produce. "The Desert of Evil Mordor with stupid Orcs from one side and Enchanted Forest of Glorious Lothlórien with clever Elves from other side" - that is the food for Britis simpletons, anything bit more complex will be declined by the public, including "scientific public". "British scientists" are much more British than scientists.

No, all this is piss and wind, rapist.

Russia invaded Ukraine, stole the Crimea.
You can't argue that a small polluted water body may have benefitted from your warmongering as a collateral benefit.

You might as well argue that the local wildlife around Chernobyl benefitted from the human evacuation after the explosion of a shit Russian reactor.

Back to your cubicle, pervert.

The Future Is Now: Iran's Drought Crisis Is Fueling the Country's Political Instability

and some quotes from Iranian experts
Telling people the truth about water problem a must: DOE chief

Touching on the fact that water consumption patterns must change among the residents in the country, Kalantari went on to say that consuming 90 billion cubic meters of water per year in Iran is a high amount, which must reach 40 billion cubic meters, to do so, all residents should do their fair share in curbing their consumption.

“In other words, we need to reduce water consumption by 40 to 50 billion cubic meters, and if this does not happen, the whole country will face a serious problem,” he highlighted.

We have to tell the truth to the people to wipe out the misconception of only a few cities facing water shortage, but the whole country is under pressure, he regretted.

So, the Government of Iran is facing a 50%+ cut in water consumption to be sustainable.
Ouch.

Spotted this on France24

"A giant sinkhole measuring about a kilometre square and 60 metres deep has made a surprise appearance in western Iran. The sinkhole opened up on August 19 near the small village of Kerdabad, in the Kabudrahang county of the western province of Hamadan. It has terrified both locals and experts, who say this phenomenon shows that groundwater tables have been badly damaged."

"The images of this giant hole in the earth are even more chilling due to its location: the sinkhole is only one kilometre from a village with more than 2,000 residents, and only a few more kilometres from a solar power station, a thermal power plant and a major national highway."

The aerial photo is interesting. The sinkholes look linear.
I would hazard a guess that there is a geological feature along there, or possibly a collapsed qanat water system.
