War widows and Forces family pension?

#1
About to ask the Women to marry me! But she is hesitaint because her late husband died in service, she has the above pensions. I believe that due to him dying whilst on duty they are attributable and therefore she will not lose any pension money. Is there anyone who can answer this?

When you marry her pension will cease. That of her children continue as normal. If (when) she kicks you into touch or you pop your clogs her War Widows Pension can now be reinstated. It is all is here http//www.mod.uk/linked_files/issues/afps/afps_fambenefits.pdf

Happy reading
Not quite as straight forward as that! below is an extract from the publication oldbaldy gives a link to. Best advice is to get in touch with the veterans agency: 0800 169 22 77 - www.veteransagency.mod.uk

SUSPENDING AND RESTORING ATTRIBUTABLE WIDOWS’ AND WIDOWERS’ PENSIONS OR UNMARRIED PARTNERS’ PENSIONS
Since 31 October 2000 an attributable widow’s or
widower’s pension or, from 15 September 2003 a partner’s
pension, is paid for life – that is the pension does not end
when the widow, widower or partner lives with or marries
their new partner.
