Leaning on the collective wisdom here.
I'm looking for a readable definitive account of the War of the Roses. The Tudors and Plantagenets one.
    Thank you
  2. Try Alison Weir's 'Lancaster and York -The Wars of the Roses'. She usually writes good, readable stuff. 'Definitive' is a bit slippery. There's a hell of a lot been written, but a lot is very dry and academic. You could try Trevor Royles' 'Lancaster against York'.

  3. Good Boardmans War of the Roses

Freezywater publishing do some very good phamplet style books

Osprey have a couple in their campaign series

Bosworth battlefield is well interpretted even if in the wrong place

Finally if you are anywhere near Wakefield museum has just opened a good wars of the roses exhibition

Or if this doesnt help pm me with specifics and I'll see what I can do
